BRITISH TELESCOPE - 19th/20th CENTURY

An excellent example of a British THREE DRAW telescope. Dating from the late 19th to early 20th Century. Brown leather covered brass casing with 3 extending draw tubes. Lenses in eye piece and at the end. Removeable brass end cap. . Measures 8 inches when closed and 23inches fully exteneded. OVerall in Grade 9 condition
Although mainly thought of as a Naval item, telescopes were used on land too. The use of binoculars made them pretty much obselete for general use..
